就讓我們從英國人票選最想居住城市第一名的約克開始說起吧!
Let's begin with York, which was voted as the city where most of British would like to live in
與其名義上的後代子孫,紐約(New York),絲毫不像的約克,自羅馬人手中而生,佇立已有將近2000年的時光

其值得一看的景點除了舊市區周圍的古城牆外,英格蘭規模最大的哥德式教堂也位於此
The interesting spotlights include ancient wall around the city and the biggest gotic church in England.
舊城區Shambles的奇特建築與現今林立的特色小店,也可以晃晃
Funny architecture on the Shambles and all these tiny shops are all worth taking a look.
約克又被稱為歐洲最鬼的城市,自然少不了夜晚的鬼故事導覽,推薦有一定英文程度且對鬼故事和詼諧演出有興趣的人參加
York's called also the ghost city in Europe. If your English is good enough and you like ghost stories, then a hunted tour could be a nice choice to spend the evening there.
貴為旅遊據點的約克,既無倫敦驚人的物價,也沒有旅遊團造成的擁擠,的確是個造訪的好選擇
As a travel base, in York there's no extreme cost, neither crowdy tourist, which could be a good choice for stay

約克鄰近的霍爾堡,是因身為英國影集"重返布萊茲海德莊園"拍攝地而聲名大噪,如今莊園內的幾個房間也特地展出拍攝花絮,其交通抵達方式也相當便利
Castle Howard next to York became famous once it was elected as shooting spot of the tv series "Brideshead Revisited", some of rooms also show the shoting process. The transportation access is also quite convenient.
然而就我個人觀點,若非對英國貴族奢華生活以及家具擺設,或是對這部英國影集有所偏愛,入門票與實際上莊園參觀價值並不成正比,就算加上附屬的玫瑰園,可能去士林官邸看蔣宋美齡的收藏品還比較值得......
But, from my personal opinion, unless you are so interested in luxurious life of noble British, furniture decoration and the tv serie, even concludes rose garden, it would still be probably worthier going to Shiling Residence in Taipei......

因為布朗特姐妹而聲名大噪的哈沃斯,就如同愛蜜莉布朗特所寫的咆嘯山莊一般,是一片充滿大自然氣息的荒野
Because of the Brontes Haworth became extremely famous, as Emily Brontes' Wuthering Heights, it's a gorgeous wasteland full of nature.
本人拜讀過她們的作品,並有幸在九月石南花開的季節時造訪此一小鎮
I was lucky for having read their works and being there in September, while all Hymenanthes bloomed
不愧是孕育出作家三姐妹的孤高景色,在健行途中,自然而然地就會湧現出書寫短文的靈感
No wonder the Brontes could achieve these masterpieces, even when I was wandering there, the ispiration came along
官方的健行路線分為三條,時間距離由短至長,一至五小時的路程,都隨個人安排
There are three routes, which you can choose to follow according to your own schedule, from one to five hours
路面尚稱平坦,所以並無太大難度,重點則主要放在布朗特橋與咆嘯山莊的主場景
The path is quite flat, so it's not difficult to finish the route, and the main spotlights are the Bronte Bridge and Top Withins
不知道是不是因為她們的作品,還是由於個人的悲慘世界觀,哈沃斯躋身為目前個人最愛景點第一名
Don't know if it's because of their works or my personal pessimism, Haworth has become my favorite travel destination No. 1
可惜的是,交通抵達方式較為複雜,火車,公車,私鐵通通來,想要前往的人必須先做好功課
Unfortunately, the transportation going there is quite complicated, which includes bus, train and even private train company. Who would like to visit there, should've done their homework first
